Montessori Learning

Our kinder sessions allow the children to have quality time learning and having fun in a "Montessori learning environment". The Montessori teacher facilitates the session providing a variety of learning activities each week. These activities are designed and planned to enhance the child's interest and expand development and learning.

Sessions begin with circle time where the children greet each other and participate in song and dance, rhyme, story time, show and tell. The children also engage in Jolly Phonics as a group, number recognition, days of the week, months of the year and group discussion.  Circle time is quite often broken into morning and afternoon sessions depending on the children.

Montessori teachers are skilled observers and continually assess each child's interest and development. Our role is to present achievable tasks to the children so that they can enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. We offer new ideas to the children in such a way as to capture their interest and encourage their love of learning and discovery. Our sessions encourage children to investigate, learn outcomes and to complete tasks. 

In our program we have introduced the Jolly Phonics literacy program which is an international literacy program and one that is widely recommended as the best multi sensory literacy program for learners (Prof. Jim Rose).

Our aim is always to form, build and develop the whole child.

• Develop polite social behaviour and respect for themselves and others whilst working in harmony.
